"You Can Call Her Mother" ~ A Tribute to Mothers

How many of you got caught in The New Edition Story craze??? Well, I definitely found myself heavily involved in the movement! *sigh* As I sat at home enjoying my maternity leave, I found myself surfing just about every social media outlet known to man and I came across Woody McClain (you know, the guy that played Bobby Brown). One day Woody went LIVE on IG and as I tuned in, he introduced the world to the one and only, Heavy McClain...

I am so happy that I tuned in that day because I had an opportunity to check out Heavy McClain's work and I AM A FAN!! He is a star in his own right and I truly respect his talent! I ran across his Mother's Day tribute, and I reached out to see if he could send us a poem dedicated to Mothers. He did not disappoint!! Check it out below:

I think history got it right when it describes earth as being maternal...

Because the emotional inferno that sets fire to souls from which you give life...

You are the foundation of man's creation…

The blueprint design of what love looks like…

And in your own right a walking miracle of perfection...

You are the first site that's captured in the eyes of the soul...

The first touch that anyone will have ever known...

Your laughter is the sound of 1000 angels singing praises to life…

You are the manifestation of hope…

The idea of prayer…

And the symbol of possibilities…

You are a woman that we call…

Mother

~ Heavy McClain

Tell me you didn't just love that!
